Cushioning and Custom Foam Cutting

We not only do all kinds and types of cushioning, we also do full re-upholstery work in both a timely and moderately priced rate. We make all sorts of replacement cushions and pillows, from ottomans and barstools, to couches and chaise lounges. We can even make large replacement boat cushions.

We can either make all new cushions and covers, or recover your existing cushions. If we do the recovering we steam your old cushions and re-fiber them to give more life to the cushions. We stock at least 800 fabrics at all times and also offer hundreds more from books and fabric sheets. Our fabric covers have zippers so that you can remove and wash them. We can make the covers match your previous ones exactly, or we can make little changes if you want something different. Wish the seatbacks were a little thinner or taller? We can do that. Do your cushions have upholstery buttons and cord edging? We do that too.

All of our cushions are made from High Resiliency foam wrapped with a layer of Dacron fiber with is glued to the foam cushion. The fiber layer extends the life of both the cushions and covers, and gives the cushions a smooth full look.

All the foam we use is of the highest quality, with a density ranging from 2.25pcf - 2.75pcf (pounds per cubic foot). Most other manufacturers, including the makers of the cushions that originally came with your furniture, use lower density foam, measuring in at about 1.75pcf. Higher density foam lasts longer, and isn't as prone to sagging or getting matted down. We offer cushions and foam in three different firmness levels, either soft medium or firm. If you're shopping around, our soft foam has an IFD of 20-25, our medium has and IFD of 25-31 and our hard has a IFD of 31-39. IFD is a standard firmness measurement in the polyurethane foam industry, and refers to the force (measured in pounds) required to compress a sample of foam to a percentage of it's original height. Readings are usually taken at 65% and 25%.
